At WestRock, we care about our communities. We want them to be vibrant and prosperous – places where our more than 50,000 employees and their families can live, work and play. We invest in our communities through programmatic grants and local sponsorships that align with our strategic areas of focus – protecting forests and urban tree canopies and developing a workforce skilled for a successful career in advanced manufacturing. We also support our teammates who give back to their communities through our Matching Gifts and Grants for Volunteers programs.
WestRock Foundation update:
We are in the process of winding down our WestRock Foundation and are no longer accepting applications for future grant cycles. Don’t worry – we are still making programmatic grants that align with our areas of focus and will provide an update in March 2023 on how to make a request.

Employee Community Programs

Our team members share a voice in how we give through their participation in our matching gifts and employee volunteer programs. Together, we make a positive impact on the communities we are proud to call home.
Engaging in our Communities
Through Grants for Volunteers, we support team member engagement in the community by providing grants for individual volunteer service. From coaching youth sports to volunteering with a local school or an emergency services crew, our team members are committed to giving back to our communities.*
Our Matching Gifts Program recognizes the financial commitments our team members make to organizations championing causes they care about. By matching their personal donations to nonprofit organizations at 100% up to $2,000 per employee, our team members help us invest in organizations that make our communities safe, diverse and vibrant.**
*Our Grants for Volunteers program is currently available to all team members, with the exception of team members based in China.
**Our Matching Gifts program is currently available to team members based in the U.S.
